Al Wiedmann Jr. is a former engineer and registered patent attorney. Al’s patent efforts focus on electrical, mechanical and chemical technologies.
Prior to joining Santangelo Law Offices in 2001, Al worked as an engineer in both the private and public sectors, as a law clerk for a civil litigation firm in Baltimore, Maryland, and as a judicial clerk for the Oregon State Courts in Multnomah County, Oregon. He is a member of both the Colorado and Oregon State Bars.
Al regularly advises clients relative to domestic and international patent protection, and prepares patent applications, technology-related agreements, and patent infringement and validity opinions. He also prepares and prosecutes trademark and copyright registration applications. Al also has experience with all aspect of intellectual property litigation.
In his spare time, Al enjoys guitar, working on his house, and climbing. He has biked across the United States, through-hiked the Appalachian Trail, and hopes to one day free climb Yosemite’s Astroman (although he says it might take him two).
